Fact Sheet Concerning Release of Parent Client Information to DHS
This issue brief assists parents' attorneys by providing guidance on how to protect client records from disclosure to DHS, and how to limit the use of client information once DHS has been given access to client records. Also, included is a discussion of the relevance of parents' statutory right to counsel, the Oregon State Bar Attorney Performance Standards for Juvenile Dependency Cases, and various state and federal statutes pertaining to privileges, confidentiality, and nondisclosure.

OR - WA Interstate Compact Agreement.  The Washington State Department of Social and Heath Services and Oregon Department of Human Services have entered into a new agreement to expidite the placement of children in state care in identified counties along the Oregon/Washington border.
